New Hardware
It seems that, in the computer business, you have to replace computer hardware more often than shoes. We are
upgrading our key server for the Quokka Online Booking System on September 30th 2003. System outage notifications
will be going to everyone, but we have planned it such that we hope to be down for only an hour.
Our old machine took 835,722 inquiries and displayed 11,033,305 possible room-nights that people could have booked.
Due to the growth of the business, we needed to increase speed and capacity in order to handle our next big
high season.
